in the city,
someone is just looking at an underground map to find the destination
someone else is only walking fast and watching down…
some other people
don’t…
who is happier?

…the point of view
can change a lot our perception of reality:
an important book to see less and watch a little bit more”

Art, sometimes, is a pure expression of the imagination…
as “to assemble” objects made of the same/different materials.

The “artist” makes a simple mental process…
of course
everybody can do this as “exercise”…. the only difference is that
“an artist”
from anonymous objects
can bring out
the beauty

“The way we see things is affected by what we know or what believe.
We only see what we look at.
To look is an act of choice”

John Berger

Ways of Seeing by John Berger is a fantastic book about
perception
painting
images
beauty
advertising
art
watching
living…

The book is based on the BBC television series (4 episodes) with John Berger (1972) available now on You tube (I don’t know for how long..). Episode 1 and 4 are definitely my favourite:

There is who draws on the paper
There is who draws on the canvas
There is who draws on the walls
…and there is who draws on the sand.

To seek for an unusual medium to use, it helps us to watch things differently.
